We are currently evaluating several gas storage projects, and have identified attractive reservoirs in Alberta with over 50 Bcf of storage capacity. Both lines of business are related given that Gas Storage requires trading in order to properly optimize the economic returns. At the same time, storage becomes another product/service which can be marketed by the company.
Value to E&P Companies
Through Moneta’s business model, E&P Companies can unlock additional value from existing assets:
- Partnering with Moneta to develop depleted reservoirs into natural gas storage assets
- Sell depleted reservoirs for fair value plus option on upside associated with storage development
- Partner with Moneta to convert depleted reservoirs for proprietary gas storage to be used during times when gas prices are depressed
At the same time, Moneta is engaged in providing natural gas marketing services, products and solutions designed for the producer. Moneta has assembled strong financial backing, as well as a team of professionals that have been active in the natural gas industry since the late 1980’s.
